Cargotec continues strong order intake in bulk carrier market

Continuing its reputation as a key supplier to the bulk carrier market, Cargotec has recently secured orders worth over €9 million from Sungdong Shipbuilding for 10 shipsets of MacGregor hatch covers.

Cargotec has won orders worth over €9 million for 10 shipsets of MacGregor hatch covers to be installed on bulk carriers being built by Sungdong Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in South Korea. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2010 and the hatch cover contracts will be booked into Cargotec’s second quarter 2009 order intake.

The contracts include the design, key components and manufacture of side-rolling hatch covers for bulk carriers being built for various shipowners. The covers will be manufactured at Cargotec partner plants in China.
