A qualified Master Mariner, has worked in Port and Terminal Operations for the past 25 years, starting in Durban Harbour, South Africa as a Tug Master and Pilot. Later moved to work on the Durban SBM, with a brief secondment to the Marsa Bashayer Oil Terminal in Sudan.
Joined Qatar Petroleum as a Pilot in Ras Laffan in 2000 and in July 2005 was appointed Harbour Master.
